Start up of a warehouse complex of class “A” in Petropalovskaya Borschagovka, Kyiv

On May 5, 2006 the Head of Kyiv-Svyatoshin District Administration approved the Act of the State Acceptance Commission on the start up of the warehouse complex in Petropalovskaya Borschagovka, Kyiv-Svyatoshin District.

The construction of the warehouse complex of class A was a continuation of a long-term cooperation between FІМ Group and Kuehne & Nagel (it all started from a construction of the warehouse «Beta” for FIM Group’s own needs. The “Beta” warehouse is located in Hostomel and was later sold to Kuehne & Nagel which is the operator of it now).

Today, the warehouse of class “A” in Petropalovskaya Borschagovka is the largest professional logistics complex of class “A” as there are no similar complexes in the market. Awarding class A to the warehouse is a result of using the most advanced engineering solutions and warehousing technologies during the construction and operation stages; having a possibility to receive and send cargo by supersize and few-tonnage trucks for which a territory for parking and maneuvering is provided; corresponding to all the norms of the warehouse complexes existing in the European countries. Another distinctive feature of this warehouse is that it was realized under built-to-suit format when the lessees are known before the beginning of its construction. The lessees of the warehouse are two international logistics companies Kuehne & Nagel and Frans Maas. Therefore, the warehouse complex was built in accordance with technical requirements of these companies. Some of the requirements are favorable location, optimal distance from Kyiv, close location of highways, availability of all needed engineering systems, sufficient area of nearby territory.

The warehouse of class "А" in Petropalovskaya Borschagovka is located on the territory of 5 hectares and is favorably located with regard to Kyiv - 2,5 km from Zhytomir highway, used by the main traffic coming from Western Europe to Kyiv. Today it is the last and the closest point on the highway (18 km from the capital) where trucks can get unloaded without entering the overdriven by transport Kyiv.

The total area of the warehouse is 26769 sq. meters. The warehouse area is - 23000 sq. meters, office and administrative - 3769 sq.meters. The working warehousing height is 10-12 m.

The Kuehne & Nagel and Frans Maas companies signed lease agreements for 7 years with a prolongation possibility. In accordance with the lease agreement Kuehne & Nagel leases 18 290 sq.m, where 17 785 sq.m are warehouse areas and the rest is customs and license warehouse, office and subsidiary areas. Frans Maas leases 6260 sq.m where 4720 sq.m is warehouse area.
